Our metal ribs are made of grade 304 stainless steel. They are laser cut, deburred, degreased and electropolished to offer the highest possible comfort and corrosion resistance.
They provide higher scraping performance on the wheel than wood and plastic, and can be left in water.
The metal ribs can be used to directly give shape to a piece on the wheel or as hand tools while hand-shaping.
Please note that there may be small bulges on the surface, which are barely felt on fingertips and don’t affect end results. Any traces on thrown pieces can be removed easily.
All of our current rib models have a thickness of 1.2 mm, which makes them stiff and not bendable. Perfect for giving standardized shapes to clay on the wheel.
